OUR STORY

Heather and Hazel is a Sydney, Australia based acoustic duo bringing original and covered country, folk, and pop tunes to all y'all.  The band emerged from a time of pandemic hardship and is built on a common love of performing and a unique love of country music. We strongly believe music brings people together, pulls a smile on a rainy day, and reminds us of moments in time or even special people.

Hazel specialises in acoustic bass, guitar, ukelele and harmonica with long time influences of Australian folk, classic rock, and a bit of pop. A true aussie, she is inspired by the people and landscapes around her and channels that into her story telling and song writing.

Heather is our bridge queen and loves nothing more than the opportunity to sing something particularly difficult and angsty.  With a background of acappella, composing, arranging, and vocal competitions across the U.S., she will harmonise with anything.  Her first four concerts were James Taylor, living in Texas added in some country flair, and she originally comes from Virginia so loves some east coast folk!

Our original music is motivated by girls' nights of red wine, nights around the campfire, bad dates and great ones, and dancing under fairy lights. We cannot wait for y'all to hear it!
